Many thanks to Eric Lorenz from the Vancouver International Tequila Expo for this margarita recipe.
2 oz. 100% agave tequila (I like Azuñia Platinum Blanco or Uno Mas Blanco)
1 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
1 oz. orange liqueur (Cointreau, Gran Marnier, or Giffard Curacao)
1-3 teaspoons of agave nectar (Madhava brand is my favourite)
Shake all ingredients with ice in cocktail shaker. Strain into chilled margarita glass with salted rim. Salud!
